The society highlight of musikprotokoll at steirischer herbst 2007 is a gala concert celebrating several coinciding 40th anniversaries – of the musikprotokoll at steirischer herbst, of steirischer herbst as a whole, and above all of the concert-organising radio programme Österreich 1.
The gala evening begins with a concert of RSO-Wien, in which the doyen of Austrian composition and decade-long musikprotokoll guest Friedrich Cerha will conduct the première of his own piece to texts of musikprotokoll founder Emil Breisach and concerts of Georg Friedrich Haas and Olga Neuwirth.
