Markus Steinweg (D)
The Antigonean subject
The Antigonean subject is a subject of its breathlessness accelerating beyond itself. A subject of precise self-exaggeration and rashness. What fascinates us about Antigone is her unreserved insistence, her
intransigence. Instead of submitting to the imperatives of objective order (embodied by Kreon), Antigone withstands the temptation of self-objectification by affirming herself as a subject.
Francisco López (E)
Underground networks and the real world as musical environments
Francisco López – artist, biologist and, as a musician, key protagonist of experimental electronic music – talks about the independent world-wide “home music” network and the influence of “real” acoustic environments, above all in nature.
Aesthetic and use (Ästhetik und Gebrauch)
Architecture and everyday life in the global and local context
What is a globalised language of architecture like on the local level, in relation to place? How does form determine use and how does use determine form? Is architecture close enough today?
