The Tiny trio may be many things, but it’s not tiny. Rather, it is melodious, playful, powerful-voiced, sparkling and yes … a bit wondrous.
Anna Ternheim whisks the audience away to Nordic soundscapes full of melancholy, euphoria, drama and forbidding beauty. With clear songs and radiant voice, she opens up a space of unexpected depth. Not for nothing was she voted best female act of the year in her home country.

From charmingly casual to loud and impetuous – Kissogram, the dandies of dark electro-disco appear in many guises: Rock ’n’ roll from synthesizers and drum computers, danceable electro beats, New Wave laconicism, cool Velvet Underground aesthetic, but also a feeling for Bowiesque pop hymns and small minor melodies.
The music of this electronica and Indie pioneer Pascal Fuhlbrügge (formerly Kolossale Jugend) has become more brusque, concentrated and glittery: Abstract Glam. He is coming to steirischer herbst with new material, embarking on an improvised foray into the current possibilities of club music.

Norman Palm’s affectionately bizarre songs meet bizarrely affectionate art: An audio-visual live show between Moldy Peaches and Fischli-Weiss, Martin Parr and Leonard Cohen. Arty folk.
Florian Horwath writes songs that make people happy: subtle melodies with a soft voice, intimate guitars. Sixties’ folk that encourages closeness and prohibits distance. Backed up by Swedish musicians and a visual track specially created by artist Karoe Goldt, he presents his second solo album.

The last evening kicks off with the documentary film Beijing Bubbles on the subject of punk and subculture in China. Tyskerhar, the half-Chinese electronic duo (Ms. Mao Dou Mao on vocals) will then set the mood for the stars of the Beijing music scene: Car-sick Cars. They fill concert halls in China and tour as support act for Sonic Youth. Fearless and with explosive energy, they are not afraid to launch their catchy songs against a solid wall of guitar noise.
